canoeing at dow's lake - summer fun

Nothing beats living in Ottawa, especially in the summer! The air is so fresh, the city is so green, and everyone is so active. The city is filled with miles and miles of trails and there is so much life outside. Everyone is dressed in the active gear and ready to move. The streets are filled with runners, cyclers, rollerbladers, and yogis. And the water is filled with paddle boaters, canoers, and kayakers.

I tried to capture the life of a canoer last night, and these pics turned out incredible. There is nothing better than sitting in a canoe after work (on a Monday night!) eating timbits, drinking timmys and listening to Jack Johnson while canoeing the canals of Ottawa!
